Reinventing Saudi Township Identity

Harmonizing environmental resilience with local heritage, this township development in the suburbs of Riyadh establishes its core spatial identity around the site's natural rainwater channel, best known as 'Wadi', transforming it into a vibrant central wetland park that doubles as sustainable infrastructure. Surrounding this hydrological spine, the masterplan is structured as a rich mosaic of housing clusters, drawing direct inspiration from the urban typology of historic Saudi towns. Strategically organized in harmony with existing watershed systems, each piece of the mosaic forms a distinct, pedestrian-friendly district designed to elevate community quality of life. These neighborhood units are seamlessly interwoven through a fine-grained network of greenways and local streets—a contemporary interpretation that translates the geometry and cultural resonance of traditional Saudi settlements into an environmentally responsive modern framework

A Seafront CBD in Saudi's Industrial city

Located along the prominent bay of Yanbu, Saudi Arabia—one of the Kingdom’s primary industrial hubs—this urban design proposal establishes comprehensive master planning guidelines to transform the city center into a vibrant regional business and tourism destination. Positioned at a prime waterfront site, the masterplan adopts classic Middle Eastern spatial principles tailored to the local climate, using a compact urban fabric that maximizes continuous pedestrian shading, human-scaled streets, and self-contained 5-to-15-minute walkable blocks. At the heart of the development, a central urban park serves as a green communal spine, seamlessly linking the city center’s key civic buildings with the coastal promenade. By integrating diverse mixed-use land programming, the district fosters an active, creative community hub that stays lively around the clock, setting a new benchmark for sustainable, climate-responsive, and 24-hour waterfront living in the region.

The Future Township of Southeast Asia

As Southeast Asia’s population booms, suburban expansion is inevitable—but traditional urban sprawl doesn't have to be. We are proposing a new paradigm for township development that works in harmony with a site's natural context. By designing compact, self-sustaining communities, we can significantly minimize our ecological footprint while ensuring all essential amenities are available locally. This context-driven vision integrates resilient green infrastructure, like wetland parks that double as flood and landslide mitigation, and explores alternative connectivity, such as water transit for river-adjacent developments, to reduce reliance on highways. We have the opportunity to build resilient, highly livable cities for the next generation.

The true about Indonesian Township

For a recent residential compound on Bekasi’s perimeter, the developer's brief was simply to maximize land for housing to yield the highest unit count, echoing standard local layouts that place shophouses statically along the front and relegate mosques or parks to leftover corners. Drawing on sustainable master planning principles, we demonstrated that maximizing ROI is not about sheer unit density, but about spatial connectivity. We replaced conventional car-dependent planning with a circulation-driven masterplan that maps natural daily movement patterns, weaving neighborhood retail directly into the pedestrian pathways connecting residential clusters to vibrant central community anchors. Positioning parks and social facilities as active destinations generates consistent, organic foot traffic through commercial zones without relying on heavy vehicular infrastructure. This integrated approach significantly improved liveability and raised underlying land values, enabling the developer to command higher residential prices while ensuring long-term commercial vitality and superior asset appreciation

A new paradigm of global campus in West Java

This masterplan for an international academic hub in West Java bridges global educational standards with local identity by reinterpreting traditional Sundanese architectural philosophy into a contemporary, climate-responsive environment. Rather than relying on generic glass-box aesthetics or superficial historical replicas, the design uses modern construction techniques to translate regional spatial character and materials into a forward-looking campus. By dismantling traditional boundary walls, the campus integrates seamlessly with the surrounding community, fostering an open and inclusive atmosphere. Its architecture prioritizes passive climate strategies—utilizing deep overhangs and cross-ventilation to naturally cool spaces within a tropical climate—delivering a world-class educational facility deeply rooted in its microclimate, culture, and context

Contextual urban design in old town of Jakarta

The proposed residential project in Kota Tua, Jakarta, bridges historical preservation and contemporary urban density through a contextually sensitive architectural approach. Set within one of the city's most significant heritage zones, the design respects the historic urban fabric and neighboring colonial structures by interpreting rather than replicating their formal language. The building adapts to modern residential demands—maximizing Gross Floor Area (GFA) through verticality and integrating vibrant communal spaces alongside modern interior layouts—while remaining strictly tethered to classic Art Deco design principles. By employing strict symmetry, balanced proportions, and carefully scaled massing, the facade harmonizes with the surrounding heritage envelope. Signature architectural motifs of the Art Deco era are reinterpreted through contemporary craftsmanship and materials, creating an authentic dialogue between Old Batavia's historic prestige and the functional needs of modern high-density living

Understanding Balinese living

Our projects demonstrate a commitment to context-sensitive design and spatial economics, realized through meticulous planning and execution. Every project responds directly to its local social character and tropical microclimate. For this vertical residential complex in Bali, Indonesia, we integrated sustainable urban design with a community-first approach that extends beyond standard architectural programming. Guided by deep respect for Balinese culture and traditional building practices, the master plan preserves the site's existing trees, weaving the architecture seamlessly around them. By blending the traditional Balinese philosophy of harmony between humanity and nature with modern living, we deliver a meticulously crafted, balance-driven residential experience. the community experiences within ground is adopted to the vertical community.

The ecological intervention in Semarang

An 'Urban Acupuncture' intervention in central Semarang trades high-density concrete development for a low-impact Urban Forest Park, creating an accessible ecological refuge in the heart of the city. The design strategy prioritizes habitat and topography preservation by working directly with existing land contours and native flora rather than clearing or leveling the site. To minimize physical disruption, elevated stilt architecture and raised pathways protect root systems, maintain natural groundwater drainage, and keep ground-level habitats intact for local wildlife. By expanding the city's green infrastructure, the park actively mitigates the urban heat island effect, boosts local biodiversity, and offers a quick, restorative retreat for nearby business hubs and residents. Ultimately, the project demonstrates how passive design and low-impact engineering allow urban progress and environmental stewardship to seamlessly coexist.
